Bio

I am a full time mom and part time university professor in Chicago. In the middle of my midlife crisis, I left my marketing job to focus on my dream, writing children's books. Then I got knocked up and gave birth to the most wonderful little girl in the world. You can readm ore about her at www.charlottesjourneyhome.blogspot.com.

I somehow wound up back in a previous life/career, teaching film studies at the University of Illinois-Chicago. I still have my hand in kidslit, mostly reviewing books for a number of blogs and writing a column on kidslit blogs for my local chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.

I started my LJ to try to express myself outside of my writings about my daughter. Clearly, I don't get to it very often!
